Hey guys,
I recently went on a Superdrug spending spree. This happens everytime I go in there for one thing, and I get so caught up with the offers I end up walking out with a lot more than I anticipated!
Today I will be reviewing one of the products I have had my eye on for a long time; the Bourjois ‘Little Round Pot Blusher’ in ‘74 Rose Ambre’.
I have to start this review off by saying I absolutely LOVE the packaging of this product. It’s so cute and is handy for traveling. The pot has a magnet closure and comes with a built in mirror and brush. I think this is so good considering the very reasonable £6.99 price tag. The brush is quite stiff and not the softest, but with a bit of practice have started applying this product with it as it fits my cheeks perfectly.
The shade is a matte burned peachy pink which is really pretty when swatched.
I love the texture of this product as it is very soft and finely milled. It is not very powdery, which means there isn’t much messy fall out from the product when you use it.
The pigmentation of this blusher is intense. I have seen on other blog posts that people think it is easy to apply- but due to its pigmentation and me having pale skin I have to be very careful when I apply it. As with most make-up , I have found it is better to tap off any excess product from the brush and built up the colour to how you want it. This is a necessity with this blush as on a couple of occasions I have applied way too much on the first instance (with just one swipe in the product) and it has been a huge pain to try blend out!
One thing I do have to mention about this blush is its amazing stay power. I have never owned a blush which is still just as noticeable 12 hours after application and this makes it a great product to wear on busy days at university or work.
‘Rose Ambre’ is a product which has amazing pigmentation and staying power, but does take practice to ensure that I don’t end up with bright pink cheeks. I am really keen to see how other shades from the range would look and wear on my skin too!
Have you tried any colours from this range before?
xx
The last few days I’ve heard a lot of people mention Bourjois blusher and I think I want to try it! I like paler pinks for blusher though so hopefully I can find one next time I browse in Superdrug!!
Great post xx

Hey thanks for your comment ☺️ they are lovely blushers with great staying power (they also smell really nice too haha!). They have such a good range of colours, I think I’ll have to pick a paler shade up when I’m next in Superdrug to see if that would work slightly better with my skin 😬 xxxx
